So we got a TON of rain thur night/fri morning. I had to work at 8am in Providencia, and by the time I got off the metro, the streets had become mini rios. It sucked! Luckily, I had on my boots (with an inch and a half heel or so) so I managed to stay above the water for most of my 10min walk to class. UNTIL I got to the very last street. I had no choice but to forge the river, and the second I stepped off the curb, my foot sank & the water came up past my boot. Fail. I need to invest in a pair of silly rain galoshes. =)
However, lots of rain = lots of snow on the Andes. It is gorgeous. I'm going to need to start looking into weekend trips up to the mountains as it appears that the ski season is officially upon us!
Chile plays tomorrow mid-morning. Our company is throwing a breakfast party before the match. I have class at 1030 anyways, so I'm just gonna head in a bit early for free donuts & coffee!! Chi-Chi-Chi Le-Le-Le VIVA CHILE!
